Hello! My name is Simon. I'm a filmmaker, photographer, writer, musician, world traveler, and creative professional from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I've had a passion for filmmaking ever since I was 10. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Radio-Television-Film and a certificate in Human Rights & Social Justice.
 

I recently returned home in June 2023 after a year in Germany and Italy, during which I worked as an Associate Multimedia Creator for a castle hotel in the Bavarian Alps, coordinated events at a large hostel in Rome, volunteered on a farm in Tuscany, and collaborated on a feature length film script with a team of filmmakers in Tuscany. 

 

These experiences were challenging and rewarding, providing me with valuable skills and artistic inspiration. My passion for cultural and language immersion influences my filmmaking– I strive to make films that capture the true spirit of places, how people are shaped by the places they live, and vice versa.

 

I have experience with narrative films, documentary films, freelance/music/promotional videos, photography, marketing, public speaking, music composition, language immersion and more.
